What if I told you we wouldn’t have anything without women? What if I asked you to name the women in your life who keep the world spinning in love? Who would you name? What would you tell us about them? What if we not only celebrated women but also centered them in our lives? What if we made women’s stories (as told by, for, and with them) the inspiration for our prayers, liturgies, stories, therapies, and gatherings? What if we looked women in their eyes and said, “I believe you. You and your story matter.”
Might the world shift a little bit closer to love? Might we discover the personal and communal healing we so desire?
In a world that has often pushed women and their stories to the margins, author Claire K. McKeever-Burgett is interested in naming and reclaiming women from the Gospels (and everywhere), not as a mere intellectual practice, but, more importantly, as a spiritual exercise of justice and liberation.
At our Tapestries lunch and learn on February 21, 2024, Claire will share about her upcoming book, Blessed Are the Women, and invite you to consider your own story as it intersects with women’s stories throughout time. Through deep breathing, reflective practice, and collaborative conversation, Claire will lead you through a creative and thoughtful lunchtime you don’t want to miss - register at tapestries.care/events!
